This month has gone by very quick, and we hope you all had a lovely holiday! As the days are starting to get longer and warmer, we have been looking at time by exploring the difference between day and night and enjoying the resources in our outdoor play area. The children also had lots of fun learning about Jungle animals, especially making them!

The children have learnt about time this month. We emphasised this by looking at day and night and the differences between them. The children did sorting activities of what kinds of things we would see and hear when it is night time and when it is day time. They made very creative day and night skies using paint and then sticking on stars, moons, the sun, and clouds.

As always, our children love imaginative play with animals. They had fun exploring various textures and scenery in our jungle set-up, as well as, reading the story of Jungle Animals and adding each animal to the correct habitat throughout the story. The children had the most fun getting creative, making elephants and lions.

In March, we are going to be looking at different countries, more specifically, exploring cultures. We will be having a ‘Celebrating Cultures’ Day on Thursday 2nd March 2023 as part of our learning in this week. Following this, we will be learning about Spring as the weather is changing, and then we will learn about Ramadan.
